Supporting local agriculture

To share the examples of RVA’s model farm, the CCC has hosted several open house events,
workshops, tours and lessons each year for farmers, schools, community groups and individuals.
Additionally, RVA is constantly creating or being part of projects that support farming initiatives
such as farmers markets and home gardens.
Growing, selling and buying food locally - rather
than importing it from other parts of the world - is
climate smart and beneficial for the local economy.
