From its conception, RVA realised that for sustainable climate change success,
people from around the world needed to be invited to join with Vincentians to
discuss and research about what actions to take and to materialize them.
Through analysis and observation, RVA considered the basic framework of the
program should focus on 3 key challenges:
• healthy food and water security
• renewable energy
• how to get ready for climate change
To establish these challenges as a valid community and development need, a
baseline survey was conducted in 2012 during 5 community events in the villages
of Chateaubelair, Fitz Hughes, Coulls Hill, Petit Bordel, Rose Hall and Rose
Bank. These community events were called “Let’s Talk Green”.
