computer’s hard drive, which meant doing a full backup and
restore without including the incriminating file. It took him
more than eight hours to complete the process. By the time
he finished, it was the middle of the night. His wife had gone
to bed hours earlier. She kissed him on the head tenderly as
she left the room. He barely noticed. She understood though.
Sadly, she saw how the computer corrupted her husband’s
thoughts as it filled itself with his words. It argued with him,
goaded him, and in the end, like a woman, it seduced him. It
was true that in the battle for George’s words, the computer
